Description

Shrub to small tree, up to 10 m. Leaf-blade 12.5-40 by 4.5—12(—13) cm, base cuneate to rounded or cordate; Inflorescences sometimes also on older nodes, shorter than the leaves; Sepals: Petals light purple, when dry pale yellow, the longest one 8.5-11.5 mm; Stamens: Ovary (sub)sessile, ribbed, appressedly hairy; Fruit ovoid, c. 2 by 1.5 cm, apically shortly but distinctly beaked, strongly verrucately ribbed;

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present)
Malesia: Malay Peninsula.
