Description

Tree, up to 23 m, 20 cm dbh. Leaf-blade 10-20 by 3.5-9 cm, apex acutish to shortly acuminate; Inflorescences up to 20 cm long; Sepals: Petals white, the upper ones with a yellow spot, when dry orange to dark red, sometimes with incrustations, the longest one 8.5-10.5 mm; Stamens: Ovary nearly sessile, half-patently hairy; Fruit globular, c. 1.7 cm diam., dull, smooth, light brownish, appressedly hairy.
