Description
Shrub or tree, 3-20 m, up to 20 cm dbh.
Leaf-blade rarely linear-lanceolate, (2.5-)3.5-15(-18) by (l-)2-5 (-7) cm, apex acuminate to cuspidate;
Inflorescences solitary or with 2 together, mostly unbranched or sometimes with a few short side axes at base;

Ovary (sub)sessile, more or less ribbed, more or less appressedly hairy with hairs of different length;
Fruit globular to broadly ellipsoid, sometimes irregularly 2-4-sulcate, 1.2-1.8 cm diam., more or less smooth to strongly warty, light brown, velvety to densely appressedly hairy.

Asia-Tropical: Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present, Singapore present); Sumatera (Sumatera present), Penang present, S. Thailand present
S. Thailand; Malesia: Malay Peninsula (also Penang and Singapore), Sumatra.
