Description
Rather leggy, percurrent plant; internodes terete below, expanding just below massive node, to 7 cm long; basal cataphylls 1(2) pair, 1-1.5 cm above axil. Petiole ca. 0.5 cm long; blade coriaceous, narrowly obovate to spathulate, to 9 x 3 cm, apex rounded, base cuneately tapering into indistinct petiole; only midrib evident. Dioecious? Inflorescence to 3 cm long, with 1-4 sterile internodes and 3 or 4 fertile ones; flowers 5-9 per fertile bract, 2-seriate.
