Description

Climbers with white latex. Leaves opposite; Inflorescence a terminal or axillary cyme; Sepals leafy; Stamens with long filaments, adnate to the style head; Fruit an oblong follicle; Seeds numerous, unbeaked, with an apical coma.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: East Himalaya (Bhutan present); India present; Lesser Sunda Is. (Bali present), Nepal present, southern China present
9 species in India, Nepal, Bhutan and Southern China through Indo-China to Bali; in Malesia 2 species.
