Trailing or climbing shrubs.
Leaves opposite;
Inflorescence an axillary cyme, all axes pubescent;
Sepals ovate to linear;
Stamens exserted;
Fruit a follicle, sometimes formed from only one of the carpels;
Seeds ellipsoid, flattened;
Distribution
Asia-Tropical, from the Indian subcontinent to Southern China present
3 species from the Indian subcontinent to Southern China; in Malesia 1 species.
