Description

Herb, (4-)10-60 cm tall, occasionally branched, larger plants robust. Stems and branches 0.05-0.2 cm in diam.; internodes 1-4.5 cm long, same length or shorter at base. Leaves 1/3 to 2 times longer than length of internodes; blade glaucous, narrowly ovate to ovate, lower leaves slightly broader, (0.5-)1-4 x 0.2-1.1 cm, apex acute to slightly obtuse (lower leaves), primary vein and sometimes secondary veins distinct. Inflorescence usually terminal, 1-10-flowered modified dichasia; bracts (12-)20-30 mm long, as long as or longer than upper leaves, bracteoles (8-)10-25 mm long; pedicels 2-51 mm long.
