Description
Plants mostly dichotomous; percurrent portions with 2 or 3 pairs of intercalary cataphylls, upper ones placed more or less halfway to next foliar node; basal cataphylls usually 2 pairs, upper pair somewhat below middle of innovation. Leaf blade obovate to elliptic, apex rounded; venation completely obscure. Inflorescences both terminal and axillary, to 2 cm long; 3 or 4 fertile internodes; flowers 3-7 per fertile bract, probably only 2-seriate. Fruit unknown.
