Description
Tree up to 25 m tall. Branchlets 2-5 mm thick, sparsely and minutely puberulous and with straight to slightly curved prickles. Stipules 1.5-3 cm long; petiole 1-1.5 cm long; blade obovate to oblanceolate, 12-25 x 6-9 cm, apex acuminate to caudate, base acute, margin aculeate, both surfaces glabrous, prickles on the main veins beneath; secondary veins 5-8 pairs, tertiary venation scalariform.
