Description

Tree. Branchlets puberulent, glabrescent with age. Leaves: Inflorescence terminal, many-flowered, 2.5-4.5 cm long; Sepals ovate, 1.8-2.2 by 1.6-1.8 mm, 1-1.4 times as long as wide, apex obtuse to rounded, densely puberulent, ciliate. Stamens inserted at c. 0.8 of tube length from base, strongly exserted from tube; Fruit of connate follicles, splitting into 2 at dehiscence, c. 17.5 by 2.4 cm, sparsely puberulent, lenticellate. Seeds 13.3-14.8 by 1.5-2.3 mm;
