Taxonomy
Without having seen the holotype, no final conclusion on this species can be drawn. In the literature, it is usually listed as a synonym of P. hispidum, whereas on the website of Z (http://www.uzh.ch/outreach/museums/herbaria_en.html), P. dilatatum is given as the accepted name. These two species have a superficial resemblance.
