Xyris paraensis var. longiceps
Description
Mostly taller and wider-leaved than the following. Spikes narrowly ellipsoid to cylindric, mostly 1-2 cm long, to 0.5 cm thick. Lateral sepals viewed from side lanciform, less curved, acute, keel narrower, more often ciliolate or papillose-tuberculate.
Distribution
Southern America: Brazil North (Amazonas present); Colombia (Colombia present); Venezuela (Venezuela present)
With the general range of the species but replacing the var. paraensis westward in Venezuela, Colombia and Amazonas, Brazil.
