Description

Tree 10-30 m, 20-90 cm ø; Branchlets densely set with fulvous to rufous erect tuft-hairs with 2-many arms, later subgla-brous, dark greyish brown, finely fissured, sparsely to densely lenticellate; Leaves thin-coriaceous, (12-)14-18(-20) by (5-)6-7(-8) cm (index 2-3), broadest at the middle; Stipules broadly ovate to lanceolate, 3-10 by 2-5 mm, rather long persistent. Inflorescence male, androgynous or mixed, in densely subterminal paniculate clusters, densely fulvous to rufous pubescent;

Kalimantan present, Selangor present, Simalur present
Malesia: Sumatra (common; also in Simalur, Riouw, and Karimun Is.), Malay Peninsula (Perak, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Pahang, Malacca, Johore; also in Penang and Singapore), Borneo (scattered in SE. Kalimantan).
