Description
Tree 10-40 m, 20-90 cm ø;
Branchlets initially angular, densely or sparsely set by silvery to greyish brown, short simple or stellate hairs, later terete, glabrous, greyish to dark brown, sparsely lenticellate;
Leaves thin-coriaceous, (10-)15-20(-33) by (4-)5-8(-13) cm (index (2-)2½-3(-3.6)), broadest at the middle;
Stipules ovate to linear-acute, 1½-4 by 0.7-1 mm.
Inflorescence male, androgynous or mixed, densely fulvous stellate hairy;

Asia-Tropical: Borneo present; Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present, Singapore present), Laut Is present, Negri Sembilan present, Nunukan present, Pahang present, Palembang and vicinity present, Perak present, S. Sumatra present, Selangor present, Simalur I present
Malesia: S. Sumatra (Palembang and vicinity, Simalur I.), Malay Peninsula (Perak, Pahang, Selangor, Negri Sembilan; Singapore), Borneo (common in all parts; Nunukan and Laut Is.).
