Description

Tree 10-20 m. Leaves membranous or thinly chartaceous, elliptic-oblong or oblong-lanceolate, 9-29 by 2.5-7.5 cm, base short-attenuate, apex gradually narrowed, acute-acuminate, or bluntish; Inflorescences pedunculate, sometimes compound (see under the subspecies), axillary to leaves or to caducous cataphylls, with hairs 0.1-0.3 mm; Fruits single or in pairs, subglobose, ellipsoid or oblong, 3-4.7 by 2-3.5 cm, ± glabrescent, hairs rusty, 0.1 mm or less;
