Taxonomy

2 Myristica ornata is reminiscent of M. mediovibex (also with the scar of the bracteole ± halfway the fruiting pedicel), and especially of M. millepunctata and M. neglecta; these latter, however, with the lower leaf surface non-papillose and with scattered dots. 1 Keys out beside M. schleinitzii on account of pedunculate inflorescences and papillate lower leaf surface, but otherwise quite different.
